Scottish Ancestry Inquiry and Heirlines Professional Genealogy Tip

Scottish Ancestry Inquiry:

I would like to trace my Scottish ancestry. I am from Chichester, England and fully aware of my English background. I’ve had no contact with anyone north of the border.

Heirlines Professional Genealogy Tip:

Heirlines would be glad to help you trace your Scottish ancestry. We are located in Salt Lake City, Utah, the home to the # 1 genealogy research library in the world, The Family History Library, which has extensive collections of Scottish records, including the old parochial registers, probate records, manor records, civil registration, and much much more. We daily use this vast repository to provide full-service professional genealogy and family tree research.

My own family descends from the Cowans of Stirlingshire, and we have done extensive research in on those family lines as well as with the many Scottish lineages of our clients since 1969.

I personally recommend Heirlines 20 hour Silver project for you to begin the discovery process, which is currently priced at $1120.00 (US dollars). When we have completed research for that block of time, we will provide a professional report of our search, with a scholarly narrative of our findings with footnotes and copies of all the documents found on your Scottish ancestry along with recommendations for future continuing research in the records of Scotland. We will also provide a chart of your family showing our progress that you can share with your family. We hope Heirlines can be of service to you.

You can purchase Heirlines ancestry services on-line www.heirlines.com by credit card, or copy the research application form on our website and submit it with a check or money order in US dollars for the size of project that you wish to start research on your Scottish ancestry.

Sincerely yours,

James W. Petty, AG ®, CGRS SM, B.A. (History), B.S. (Genealogy)

Natve American Ancestry and Dual Citizenship

Native American Ancestry and Dual Citizenship Inquiry:

I would like to find Emma Frank born in Maine USA 1890, my grandmother. She was of the Cherokee nation. She married a Theodore Peach had 2 children and also married a Michael Billinger. My father came out here to Australia after World War2 and took the name of Henry Lister. When he enlisted he came back here to settle and raise a family, all of my sisters have duel citizenship except my brother and me who have been denied as we were born before 1954. The identity of our grand mother may allow us through the Cherokee to be able to live in what we considered our country as well. This is very important to us . Signed Peter xxxx

Heirlines Professional Genealogy Tip:

We would be glad to help you with your genealogy research. Tracing Native American ancestry in the U.S. is a part of our services, and we can search for information about your grandmother. However, this is a more difficult type of search, involving both civil records, tribal records, and Bureau of Indian Affairs files. We provide research on an hourly fee, but in blocks of time from eight to forty hours per project. For a Native American project we recommend beginning with a twenty hour block of time.

Recommendation:

James W. Petty, B.A.(History), B.S. (Genealogy), AG ®, CGRS SM, recommends you begin with a purchase* of HEIRLINES “1A-R20”, a Silver Research Package. This is a 20 hour Professional Genealogy Research Project Recommendation, but when you go to our website www.heirlines.com you may choose a smaller or larger project from our Bronze, Silver and Gold Research Packages. Our minimum project is a “Bronze” eight hour research package ($585). See Heirlines website www.heirlines.com for ordering details (Options: online, by mail or by telephone- 800.570.4049 Ask for Mary Petty)

After ordering your desired project, we need you to fill out Genealogy Research Survey (GRS) found on our website providing Heirlines with the names, dates and places of the family to be researched, the line(s) to be emphasized. Be sure to include any special instructions such as travel plans, deadlines and goals. Include names of uncles, aunts, cousins, or other people pertinent to your family history. If dates and places are unknown or questionable, please list approximate information. Please feel free to send us any other information or documents (copies only, no originals) about the Family To Be Researched (FTBR) that you feel is relevant to this project. We will contact you upon receipt of this information and prior to beginning research on the project.

We also need a pedigree chart of the family to be researched. You can go to our website and print off a Pedigree Chart form. Please fill it out as completely as possible; especially noting the lines you wish us to follow. You must FAX (1-800-570-4049) or mail this to us. PO Box 893, Salt Lake City, UT 84110

If the client desires, resulting genealogical information will be input on computer and presented in the form of pedigree charts and other reports.

Research projects are handled in the order that payment is received. Projects are generally completed in 8-12 weeks from receipt of payment.
